How to replace a zipper slider

Zippers are installed on our bags, luggage, jackets, trousers, and numerous wardrobe items and accessories. These closure pieces are indispensable components of daily life. If the slider has broken and is not properly closing the zipper teeth, the slider must be replaced.


What you will need:

Select a slider that matches the one you are removing. The numbers that are printed on the back of the slider indicate what size is needed.

  1. Use pliers to gently pull or cut out the stops. Try not to damage the webbing as you take them out.
  2. Pull the slider off the end.
  3. Put the new slider on
  4. Once the zipper slider is working, attach the stop.
  5. Done
